Summer of Mercedes was developed at the AFI Conservatory under Senior Lecturer, Barry Sabbath. The film placed as a Quarterfinalist in the 2023 Nicholl Fellowship and is now in development with Sundance Feature Jury Winners for the film In the Summers, Sergio Lira and Lynette Coll under their LUZ Films banner.
